Heyyy guys! I’m still surprised that it’s already December but I’MTOTALLYEXCITEDABOUTITYAY!
We got our Christmas tree on Tuesday and I named him Marvin. He’s kinda skinny and has this weird dent/hole around his bottom half that makes it look like he wore a belt for too long. But I love him already. So does Boo, who has tried to climb him, sleeps under him, and left us our first *ahem* present under the tree the first day it was up. Oh, cats.
So what’s floating around the interwebs this week that interested me? Let’s see..
Let’s start with HUNGER GAMES! OMGKATNISSANDPEETA4EVUR! #TEAMPEETA! And also, this: How Peeta is Katniss’s girlfriend.Granted, in my head Peeta from the books was slightly more dreamy but whatever, details.
Let the snow begin! And to get you in the mood for this I present: Cats in Snow. Soak it up.
I think we all know by now that I’m a supernerd, and while I willingly signed up for AP English twice I was still never a fan of all the symbols we read into novels. That being said, famous authors respond to the idea of symbols in their writing. Part of me wants to print this out and mail to my Junior year English teacher.
The NY Times ran an article on how art makes you smart. Uhm, duh.
And one more feel good link. Indiana and Harlow. Big fan. Too cute.
Finally, BuzzFeed pulled together a list of the 25 Most Important Food Things for 2013.
Stuff I pinned this week:
I may or may not have an eye on cocktails for Christmas already. Anything with Prosecco is a winner.
I’ve only ever had a Scotch egg twice in my life but I think it’s safe to say I’m in love.
I’m not sure how it happened but when I was a kid and we could get the fancy single serving dessert from the fancy grocery store I always got Napoleans. I’ve been wanting to learn how to make them for awhile now. Seems simple enough.
Truffled. Popcorn. Yep, yes, pleaseandthankyou, noIwillnotshare.
This float. Epic.
