You may have noticed some changes happening around the blog lately. From the new layout and the fancy sliding images at the top. Clearly I’ve been busy, and very quiet in telling you. But here’s the downlow, I’m makin’ moves! I switched to self-hosting, started running ads, and am working to make the site easier to use for you all.
First things first, I added an Amazon Affiliate Store and have been adding all my favorite cookbooks and most used tools and ingredients there. Anything you purchase through that link (or the links that say (affiliate link!)) I make a small commission on. Thanks for helpin’ a gal out!
You can find links to my store in the menu bar:
Or in the side bar:
You may have also noticed the new ads running as well. I hope they’re not too intrusive! I’m really excited about running them because the hope is that I can actually make money so the site supports itself. And maybe one day it will support me too! These ads are on the side bar and the bottom of my posts for now, though I intend to expand them. I also partnered with Swoop which will on occasion insert ads into the recipes with links to relevant products they think you might enjoy.
Now the more exciting stuff. I’m a ZipList partner! That means, if you’re a ZipList user (and you totally should be by the way) you can now save my recipes to your recipe box. This can then help build your shopping list or menus for the week. Isn’t that awesome? I just downloaded the app and can’t wait to give it a spin.
If you ever want to access your recipe box quickly just click the link next to Recipe Index. There is also a drop down menu for the shopping list and menu planner.
It saves it to your recipe box and viola! There’s still a tiny kink where my name won’t display yet but I’m working on that! So you don’t forget where you got that yummy recipe from.
And that’s all folks! Now on to the interwebs!
Apparently for some Asian-American couples, having a fairy tale romance is really important. What an interesting business.
The best part is that they one: edited this into the final show, and two: left the sound in.
Is there anything more forlorn looking than a wet dog?
This is just wonderful.
The BF showed me this over the weekend and I just about died. He’s so joyful!
I tried on my first one piece bathing suit on Wednesday and to say it was a disaster is an epic understatement. Short torso = bathing suits that seriously don’t fit right. Seriously, how tall are people on average? I can’t be that short. Anyhoodle, the Oatmeal’s new comic this week was rather apropos.
Stuff I pinned this week:
Homemade steamed buns! Basically my favorite thing ever in the history of ever. Must go buy a bamboo steamer!
I need to start whipping my cheeses.
It’s lemon season!
Seriously, lemons evurywhere. I ain’t mad.
Oh and how ’bout some homemade flavored butters for all the scones I want to make. And all the CORN I want to eat. Yes please!
That’s all folks! Have a splendiferous weekend! Hugs ‘n’ cupcakes!
