Happy Frydee, Chitlins! Let’s be frivolous today on the interwebs. It’s been a long hard, full week after a holiday weekend. So put on some French cafe accordion music (because this has been my jam all week) and settle in for some light reading.
It’s officially an election year and things are heating up. Which always stresses me out. The NY Times has dubbed it the “selfie election.” Out of curiosity – why did people in the past want their babies kissed by presidents? That just seems weird to me.
Proud Puffin moment: My new job home is working to catalog all the species of naturally occurring plants in Central Park. It’s actually really interesting.
It’s not hidden fact that I am a flamingo freak. And now I want to do all these crafts. I wonder if I could get away with a flamingo chandelier in my kitchen?
This woman is my spirit animal. Preach it!
Some moron actually climbed on stage before a broadway show to plug his phone in to a fake electrical socket on stage. I can’t even.
My never-ending girl crush on J.Law increases every time she makes an appearance. Impersonating Cher? We all do it, but she does it with flair.
My birthday is this weekend (eep!) so I’m making myself the fanciest cake I can think of. A pistachio cake (based on this recipe from Baked which will also be our wedding cake!) with fresh raspberries and a honey-mascarpone filling. I know you’re jealous. Recipe next weekish!
