Healthy Chickpea Curry

If you’re anything like me, you love Chickpea Curry. This south Indian curries dish with spices like cardamom, fennel seeds and coriander seed is spicy and delicious, so much so that you may find yourself having a hard time restraining yourself from just eating it right out of your pan. It’s super easy to prepare and there is nothing here that is not absolutely wonderful for your health.


To make this delicious Indian chickpea curry you will need: chickpea curry powder, coconut oil, turmeric, ginger powder, as well as salt and pepper to name a few of the most commonly used spices. These spices can be bought in various stores as well as online. Make sure that you buy them fresh so that you get the best flavor and aroma. You should also note that spices do lose their potency as time passes so therefore it is important that you buy them at the correct amount and quantity.


The ingredients should then be placed in an airtight container that is made of plastic. You will then take your mixture and add water or vegetable stock to it so that it becomes thicker. You can either use coconut milk or any other alternative milk that you prefer instead of using water. It is important that you let the ingredients mix completely before you serve so that the flavors are well infused into the food. Remember to serve your Chickpea Curry hot.

For starters you can make a delicious creamy cauliflower soup, complete with an assortment of fresh vegetables. Alternatively you can try out my favorite chickpea curry, which I have made using frozen yellow onions and chickpeas instead of onions and garlic. The result was absolutely outstanding and extremely flavorful. I would highly recommend this dish if you are looking for an excellent alternative to traditional meat and vegetable curries.


Of course there are hundreds of delicious vegan curry recipes that you can try. There are several that I had never tried before. One of these great meals is the roasted potatoes, which I made using nutritional yeast and chickpeas. It was absolutely delicious and very healthy.


If you try out any of these dishes that I have mentioned, I am sure that you will be impressed by the results. Not only are they both very delicious and healthy but they are also very easy to prepare and to eat. They are a terrific addition to your menu if you are on a diet. With cumin and garlic, coconut milk and potatoes, this chickpea curry recipe has a lot to offer.
